Hotel was very modern and relaxing, reception staff were very helpful with check - in process on arrival. Room was comfortable and very clean, bathroom perfect as well.
I arrived into Glasgow on Christmas Day 2017. I booked the Glasgow Central Hotel specifically for it being at the train station. Plus, I like old rustic hotels. The room was of good size, but to get there, it felt like something out of "The Shining", long hallways, with small studies along the way. ...
Lovely hotel, rooms stunning and excellent location. Breakfast was beautiful. Only fault was we ordered room service and this was not received. No apology or anything was given and the staff was annoyed we went to order it from Reception as they would not answer the phone for our request.
Perfect location close to bars, restaurants and shops. Everything within walking distance. Helpful staff and clean rooms. Enjoyable stay!
Scotland’s largest and most spirited of cities plays host to conferences, exhibitions and iconic events all year round. The The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) leads the pack, but Glasgow has a broad spectrum of conference venues. With that in mind, if you are travelling here for a popular event or festival, it’s best to book your hotel well in advance .
The SECC has its own train station, so a wealth of comfortable city centre accommodation to suit all budgets is only a short train ride away in Glasgow city centre. But if you'd rather stay close to the action, the SECC complex also offers convenient on-site hotel options.
Whether you’re only in town for a conference, or you are planning to extend your stay to relax and explore, the Expedia search tool can help you browse the options and find the best hotel deals.
The SECC, and by association its sister venue the Clyde Auditorium (affectionately known as ‘the Armadillo’), are iconic landmarks in their own right. Why not check out other emblematic attractions in your downtime? The eye-catching Riverside Museum and the Tall Ship at Riverside are both within walking distance of the conference centre and well worth discovering.
Alternatively, head into town for some post-conference entertainment, as you enjoy top class dining and take in a show at one of the city’s popular theatres like the King’s Theatre or the Citizens Theatre.
