"Sublime!"
We'd definitely stay here again. Set in the country with superb views yet close to Dunfirmline, we experienced a warm welcome and enjoyed relaxing in the drawing rooms. Our comfortable yellow bedroom with its enormous en suite bathroom that overlooks the formal walled garden and view to the west, is a delight. James gave us a list of recommended nearby places to eat and summoned a taxi when we'd made our choice. We were not disappointed. We loved the breakfast. It was one of the best breakfasts we've ever had.

"One night wonder"
Met by very friendly staff on arrival. Parked for free in the car park opposite as out of season - imagine that could be problematic in busier periods. Room compact but nice, tucked around the back so very quiet but walls thin so could hear other guests coming and going but not an issue for me. Went for a few pints in the pub around the corner - nice beer, free bar snacks went down well. Back to the Waterfront for some tea - fish'n'chips were the best Id had in a long time. Breakfast next morning was very good too.

"Old Manor"
Probably the best "bang for buck" hotel I've stayed in. We did go off-season but for £180 we got a huge bed with en-suite bathroom (huge bath) and a balcony with a great breakfast for 2 weekend nights. Stunning views across the golf course towards the Firth of Forth from our balcony and the beautiful breakfasting area. Breakfast was great - lots of choice rather than the usual cereal or fry up.

After some confusion about checking in (there was some problem with Expedia and their network connecting), they luckily had a room available since it was a Wednesday night. The rooms were what you would expect. Just make sure to bring shampoo/conditioner since there is only body wash.

Nice hotel on a golfing course. So great place to stay if youre into golf. I was going to Morton lochs to see the Red squirrels and Kingfishers which was only a short distance away, a lovely place to visit if you're into wildlife. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food and a couple of vegetarian options. Will stay again.

No visit to St. Andrews, known worldwide as the "Home of Golf", would be complete without a round at the famous Old Course. See how you measure up against the golfing legends of the past and present before indulging in some delicious local produce and a local beer or two at one of the town’s fine restaurants.

    Castles Galore

Nearby lie the medieval ruins of St. Andrews Castle. This intriguing castle has been a fortress, palace and state prison in its time, complete with sixteenth century siege mine and the formidable ‘bottle dungeon’ hewn out of the rock - rumoured to have imprisoned John Knox at one time.

The ruins of Ravenscraig Castle are also well worth a look, before making your way to Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery, a real cultural hub which is home to works by William McTaggat, Scottish Colourist S. J. Peploe and Kirkcaldy artist Jack Vettriano.
