We loved all the golf memorabilia and the history of the hotel. The staff were kind and attentive, and the location is ideal for enjoying all the sights of the wonderful town of St. Andrews. First of all, the staff was outstanding. They were friendly and responsive. The hotel was clean, and my room was kept in prime condition. The breakfasts were yummy, and one night I ate in and the fish and chips were the best I've had. The hotel was central, so I could walk everywhere with ease. If I return to St. Andrews, The Dunvegan will be my first choice of where to stay. However they were comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous and we found the restaurant/pub the best in the evening. It was packed full of golfers and locals, who made you feel at home.
