Great location, beautiful artwork, facilities of a 5 star hotel in a homely guest house. Local produce at breakfast and a well stocked honesty bar. Hosts are attentive and lots of information for travellers. Can’t wait to return.

We received such a warm welcome at The Boars Head. It felt like everything in the room was really high spec. Loved that we had a stocked fridge (you had to pay for most items, though!) with free milk and a free dram each, too! A espresso machine with good choice of coffees and tea bags. Was curious about Andy Murray's investment in a country hotel. But as I drove up the private road you could see why. It's a lovely secluded residence. It was a relatively quiet night I stayed at with maybe 33-50% occupancy, and I was given a nice upgrade. The fixtures and fittings were extremely high tier, mixed with antique/period pieces. We had a great stay. The staff we very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, the food was good, and it was very peaceful. It's a £10 cab ride to get anywhere though, so keep that in mind if that kind of thing bothers you and you're not driving (they always came quickly though).

An excellent hotel with character, class, and great service. I can understand why The Balmoral Hotel is such a famous place to stay when visiting Edinburgh.

The property location is stunning right on the Elie Beach. Staff were excellent and friendly and the food was fabulous. Will definitely return.

Fantastic room and service, well presented and adapted to the government’s pandemic guidelines. Jessica was incredibly welcoming and clearly loves her work. We just wish we’d stayed longer.

Fresh and new - lovely surroundings!

Am amazing hotel staff absolutely fantastic. Room was large as was the bathroom. Fantastic view of the garden. Free tea and coffee all day. Breakfast was good. Bus stop just outside the hotel to get into Edinburgh city centre.

Wonderful stylish hotel just opened so very clean and fresh. My room was an apartment with kitchenette (I don't think there is a dining room), high quality spacious bathroom and very high speed WiFi. Staff pleasant, location central and good bar/cafe area. I wanted to stay longer and will definitely stay next time.

I have never stayed at this hotel before and I will 100% be returning. Super clean, fantastic finish and the bed sheets were so soft! Couldn’t fault a single thing. We stayed on a Saturday night (on floor 9) and you could hear a tiny bit of noise from local streets but did not disturb our sleep one bit. All staff were super friendly too. Fab location too. Thank you so much.

Loved our stay here. Apartment was incredible, we could stay in it all day! Our favourite location in Edinburgh for bars restaurants etc. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Cant wait to return.
