Breakfast was excellent, and for picky eaters like me, Pizza Hut and KFC right by the Pyramid entrance were a convenient bonus (try the Pizza Hut Melt, best food i had during my 3 week Europe/Egypt Travel) The hotel arranged a late-night airport shuttle on Sunday at 11 PM, making arrival effortless. They also offer tours, though I had my own plans. I was on a solo backpacking trip, but my wife loved the hotel from the photos, she’s already planning to visit too! Note: The surrounding area is a bit impoverished, and some locals can be insistent. Best approach is ignore them, and they’ll leave you alone. "

"The Sofitel is perfectly located in the heart of the city adjacent to the Nile. The entertainment is such that you don't have to leave your hotel if you choose not too. The views of the Nile and sunset are perfect from the 3rd floor. The sunken tub is a dream after a long day of exploring the city. I would highly recommend and will stay here again."
