The hotel was easy to find and is nice and central. Plenty of regular busses to and from the city centre. Arrive at 5:30pm on a Friday and you'll get weekend parking outside the door for the whole weekend for £3.00

"Nice apartment facing the ocean. "
The staff are excellent. The apartment is big enough for a family. The kitchen is well equipped. The area is quiet, perfect for children to run around. There's a city bus stop nearby going to city center. Definitely will recommend to friends.

"Fabulous hotel, exceeded expectations"
I was very impressed with this hotel. I was a little nervous staying on my own with my 2 & 4 year old. The hotel staff were very accommodating, breakfast was amazing (we have the American visitors to thank for that), bedroom was a great size (bathroom a bit musty), swimming pool was wonderful & nature walk a bonus. I was sad this was just a stopover, I would have happily stayed longer.

"very relaxing"
Very clean hotel - food excellent - only issue was that the lift was out of order and didn't look as though any repairs were imminent - fortunately we were on the first floor!

"Small hotel located in lovely little town."
Booked a one night stay as we were attending wedding nearby. Very confusing way into hotel through its cafe. Never did find reception just a small cupboard like messy office. Interior signs were quite confusing. Staff were friendly, though we were annoyed to have them chapping on our door at 8.50am wanting in to clean room. Breakfast was served in the cafe and for the cost of the room for a night was a bit tacky. Room itself was spotless and comfortable. No plug near the only mirror was a pain if you wanted to use a hairdyer. Nice enough hotel but overpriced when you had to wander all over hotel trying to find someone to check you in and when you see where breakfast was served.

Pocket Guide: Adventure Sport Hotels in Edinburgh

Staying in Edinburgh isn’t just about sightseeing (unless you want it to be - of course). There is more to this famous city than meets the eye. With Scotland’s 'Golf Coast' on the doorstep in East Lothian and a variety of offbeat adventures to be had within the city you might be surprised by what’s on offer. Booking your perfect accommodation is easy with Expedia.

    Adventurous Activities in Edinburgh

While it’s unlikely you will be abseiling down Edinburgh Castle anytime soon, Edinburgh has a vibrant climbing community. There are impressive indoor climbing centres in Granton and Ratho - the latter is the largest indoor climbing wall in the world! The Edinburgh International Climbing Arena also boasts Europe’s largest suspended aerial adventure rope course.

No trip to Edinburgh would be complete without a game of paintball. OK that’s not true, but it’s there if you want it. Head to the indoor centre on Leith Walk or the outdoor area just outside the city in South Queensferry for some colourful simulated combat.

The city is also within easy reach of the Pentland Hills, making it a great place for hikers and runners to base themselves. Hillend Dry Ski Slope is a handy place for skiers.
