Overall excellent but noisy if a wedding is on. We were located on the first floor and in the small hours of the night drunken guests were very noisy in the corridors.
Our stay last weekend was only spoilt by the cold dining room on the Friday evening and during the wedding the sight of wedding dressed ladies sharing scarves and in one case a blanket to keep warm. I along with other gents also gave up our jackets to our partners. OK it was November ...... so we ...
Hotel centrally situated and of a good standard. Staff very pleasant and very helpful. I will certainly stay there again.
We arrived via the airlink bus and had an easy check in. Room facilities were excellent with complimentary whisky and daily newspaper. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide choice of hot and cold items. We were given bubbly and chocolates on our anniversary day - a nice touch.
Great place to stay. Perfect location on the royal mile. Great breakfast, cozy rooms and the staff made us feel very welcome :)
Great room with terrible view. Bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get out of it. Staff were without exception delightful! Pool was so cold. I guess the upside was I had to swim fast!
Staying in Edinburgh isn’t just about sightseeing (unless you want it to be - of course). There is more to this famous city than meets the eye. With Scotland’s 'Golf Coast' on the doorstep in East Lothian and a variety of offbeat adventures to be had within the city you might be surprised by what’s on offer. Booking your perfect accommodation is easy with Expedia.
While it’s unlikely you will be abseiling down Edinburgh Castle anytime soon, Edinburgh has a vibrant climbing community. There are impressive indoor climbing centres in Granton and Ratho - the latter is the largest indoor climbing wall in the world! The Edinburgh International Climbing Arena also boasts Europe’s largest suspended aerial adventure rope course.
No trip to Edinburgh would be complete without a game of paintball. OK that’s not true, but it’s there if you want it. Head to the indoor centre on Leith Walk or the outdoor area just outside the city in South Queensferry for some colourful simulated combat.
The city is also within easy reach of the Pentland Hills, making it a great place for hikers and runners to base themselves. Hillend Dry Ski Slope is a handy place for skiers.
