"The room was very comfortable, a bit noisy from other guests in the hallway. Breakfast was good, but crowded, main reason for losing a star was if you wanted lunch or dinner, you had to go up the street. Staff were extremely polite and helpful!"

"Cobbled together gluten-free vegetarian breakfast (although advised in advance), but organised eventually. The waiter was nonetheless very helpful. Could've done without the constant sport on the huge tv. The pub attached is very noisy. Suitable more for a younger clientele."

"The location of this hotel is perfect for touring old town Edinburgh. Situated in the Grassmarket surrounded by shops, restaurants and pubs. Very walkable location. Hotel is small and clean. Staff are so helpful. Our room was small, but had all amenities. Highly recommend."
