We had to do a staycation, due to the change in isolation coming back from Austria.
Two weeks five hotels. This is the one we would never return to. Poor service. Poor attitude and a distinct lack of management. I know we are in difficult times. Ive only ever left two bad reviews in 40 countries. The stay at this hotel was very poor to say the least. Parking £14 for 24 hours, but everytime we left, they sild it to someone else. People used others spaces, because they did this to mumerous guests. The changed breakfast to putting it outside the door in a bag. Well, on day one they did. Day three i didnt meet anyone that got a breakfast. All who had rung reception several times...with different excuses. A line of checking out longer than ive ever seen.Complaints and a poor, young girl on her own, appologising to every guest....not a manager in sight.
Management decision to remove breakfast by an ill informed decision maker
( blaming government restrictions) each subsequent hotel provided breakfast, taking adequate precautions.
I cannot see me ever using Hilton in the future. A reputation tarnished. Yet, so many other hotel chains have been outstanding! Everythong felt like cost cutting...not safety!
