This is a good, basic hotel designed for economical stays. The rooms have a small kitchen area and fridge if you wish to save money.
There is a supermarket and a HUGE wine store in the plaza next door and excellent restaurants very close by.
Try the excellent Tokyo Sushi across the street.
The only thing missing is a pool, but how often do you really use it anyway?
The bed was comfortable and the free morning buns and coffee delicious.
There is even a hoho bus stop in front.
I always stay here before a cruise.
This hotel shows some wear and tear, but is reasonably clean and comfortable. It is a very good choice in terms of proximity to cruise port and the airport. The complimentary shuttle service to the cruise port is a plus and so too the service to and from the airport. The complimentary continental breakfast is rather good for a hotel in this category and price range. The luggage holding area was available by giving guests a key to the holding room so the honor system more or less applied, though we had no problems with our belongings. The hotel is just steps away from a point where you can catch either a city bus or the Sun Trolley to the central beach area or further to the Galleria mall. Said trolley will also take you to the Harbor Shops area that has some interesting shops (plus a Publix and Total Wines) and restaurants (and it would not be a terribly long walk, either).
I needed to arrive early for a cruise ship departure. I did not want to rush. This hotel is in a very convenient location. A Walgreens was down the street within walking distance. There was a shopping center that was also within walking distance. I used the shopping center. The area in general was very expensive; but I was surprised to pay $3.50 for a 12 ounce can of soda. I thought that pricing was overkill. However, if you asked, the the hotel staff at the desk did give ;you a bottle of water. It was hot. I was thirsty so I was grateful.
Even though the hotel was very busy when I arrived, the Front Desk Staff was very quick and efficient. I was in my room in no time.
Their location is great for someone that need access to the cruises and convention center. however, the rooms are just okay. the bathroom design is terrible and the space is very small.
Another issue we noticed is with parking. in our case, we have it included but since the hotel want people to use their valet parking, you are limited to use available spaces only at the highest levels of the parking building.
Great hotel and great location. The majority of the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You're also within easy walking distance of tons of restaurants and bars which makes it nice not having to rely on taxis when traveling. The only downfall this trip was not being able to get a drink in the hotel bar after being ignored.
Only about 10 minutes from the airport and located just off Route 1. Also about 10 minutes to Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Many restaurants nearby on and off Rte 1. Hotel is very quiet. Room I was in was recently renovated and very clean.
We just needed a place for a night before a cruise. The woman who checked us in was very thorough. I appreciated her kindness and help. The shuttle service from the airport and to the cruise port was very convenient. The room was clean and nicely equipped with a microwave/frig and coffee maker. The morning breakfast was very good! In the morning, the woman who checked us out was also very kind and helpful. We were very satisfied with our brief stay.
