But it punches well above its weight class. The pools and pool decks are lovely, the grounds are immaculately well-kept (complete with organic farm sloping down from the lower pool), the food is good, the drinks flow freely, the rooms are clean and up-to-date, everything works, and – above all else – the staff are absolutely wonderful. They’re attentive, warm, gracious and not at all shy on charisma. The icing on the cake for me was when my daughter had to cancel a day or two before she was scheduled to arrive, as she became quite sick back in Canada. The location is fantastic—perfectly situated overlooking Soufrière and close to so many of the island’s highlights. The views are truly stunning and seem to follow you everywhere on the property. Whether you’re in your room, by the restaurant, or walking through the grounds, there’s always something beautiful to take in. There are quite a few steps throughout the resort, but I was completely fine with them and felt they added to the charm and sense of adventure. My room felt like a little treehouse—cozy, peaceful, and tucked into the landscape in a way that really connected you to nature. Overall, Green Fig was a great base for exploring the area while still feeling relaxed and immersed in the beauty of St. Lucia."
