This resort is amazing. Felt like paradise. The butlers were an extra treat. Each staff member that we encountered was friendly and helpful. We ate at the dorado one night which had exceptional food. The buffet was very bland and room service food was not good. Otherwise this was a great Vacation.

We had an amazing time for our honeymoon here. Although it was lower season for them, this made our experience much more charming. The restaurants were accommodating with dinner times, the staff was super friendly. Kayson, Teddy, Coco Sam, Delan from scores bar, big thank you for making our experience wonderful! Even the General manager and everyone from Expedia was super friendly, and welcoming thanks again.

This is my second time staying at the hideaway and would definitely stay again. The staff is extremely friendly and would never pass you without greeting you, you will always find grounds keepers, either cleaning, or maintaining the property and the property itself is beautiful. The spa was absolutely amazing and definitely a must do. I worked with Tashel for months leading up to our trip in order to assure my husband‘s birthday celebration, and our guest had a memorable vacation. She assured everything was in order for our arrival as well as assisting throughout the trip. The only disappointment we experienced was the restaurant closures. Not all of the restaurants were open and available for reservations or they would close unexpectedly the day before. Additionally, the food at Desparado was not good at all and from the time we ordered it took an hour for the food to come out. Be prepared for a two hour trip from the airport to the resort. If you have a good cab driver, they can make that trip a great beginning to your vacation.

This resort was one of my favorites. Seeing that the island is growing with more tourists it’s great to see how much development, decorum and diversity. This resort has so much to offer . The food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing, the stuff was amazing as well. Anything we needed was upon request . The check in and out process was so smooth . I would recommend this resort too any one that looking for a great time either solo, married or with kids .

The Royalton Hideway property and amenities were excellent. Very relaxing stay and worth the cost. Staff very helpful, food and beverages were excellent. This was our first all inclusive resort and there was no pressure to upgrade or pay more for any items. The only downside was the sales pitch upon arrival to join/ listen to the Diamond Club presentation with breakfast. This was presented as a “thank you for staying” with discounts for activities that felt obligatory. Don’t fall for it, it’s not required and you go to breakfast on your own when you want to. They basically want you to give up 90 minutes of your vacation to buy into their Diamond Club. Might be a good deal, but that’s not what we came for. They need to be more honest up front with what they are selling rather than being deceptive with coupons and breakfast as a “thank you”. Despite this, we would go back.

The property itself is pretty nice, much bigger than I expected, and overall, it was clean. However, my experience with the staff not what I expected. I would say 2 to 3 out of every 10 staff members were genuinely pleasant, warm, and welcoming. Whenever I came across those individuals, I truly appreciated their kindness and helpfulness. Unfortunately, the majority were very dry and lacked warmth or personality. There was no smile, no hello, and sometimes not even a response when I extended a friendly greeting. I have stayed at several resorts, and I have never experienced this type of atmosphere before. I honestly believe the staff would benefit from hospitality training which they seriously lack. The way guests are welcomed and treated is extremely important to the overall experience and can have a huge impact on the reputation and development of the resort and, ultimately, the island as a destination. On more than one occasion, I asked for something at the buffet that never made it's way to me in addition to them just being slow with everything. Another thing that surprised me was the setup of the resort. There is an adults-only side that is more expensive than the family side, yet all of the amenities are located on the family side, including the sports bar, gym & restaurants. There is essentially nothing on the adults-only side besides the guest rooms.
