"We stayed one night at the beginning and another night at the end of our stay in Rarotonga. The staff were amazing and friendly. There were a lot of big family groups who tended to take over all of the seating and the pool with lots of kids jumping, even though there are signs saying this is not allowed. If you are a couple, there are quieter options around. It would also be really helpful if transfers to/from the airport were included."

" We have just stayed 5 nights at the Moana Sands Beachfront Hotel, and loved our stay . The view from our room was incredible . I feel I need to pay special attention to the restaurant and bar staff there . Our meals were amazing . The Chef there is both lovely and knows what he is doing . The food was so so good . We simply didn’t have a single meal we didn’t completely love . And Ryan the bartender was outstanding . Also a thumbs up for housekeeping . Who were both friendly , respectful , and just lovely in general . There were 2 shops within easy walking distance . And the local bus took us everywhere we needed to go We will most definitely be back Meitaki"

"What a great place to stay, some of the place needs updates as things are looking tried. But would not stop us rebooking again. Our room was great. The restaurant had great food and service great too. Minnie was a pleasure to deal with. Loved that it was right on the beach. The staff looked after us so well as we got sick on our trip and needed food brought to the room was not a problem. Loved the feel of this place. We will be back on my redo trip! Thanks to all the team."

"The location was lovely, but the onsite managers were rarely “onsite,” they would not allow us to have complimentary late checkout, (not even an hour or 2, even though our flight didn’t leave until nearly midnight and we had checked in at nearly midnight.) They provided us with stained towels and a dirty and used kitchen sponge upon arrival. Paara asked us when our wedding anniversary was. He told us that he would bring us a bottle of “bubbly” to celebrate our special day. He never wished us a Happy Anniversary, nor did he bring us any “bubbly.” When we asked for paper towels or napkins he stated that nobody had ever asked for them and they weren’t provided. It rained and there were high winds 7 out of 8 days that we were in Rarotonga (nobody’s fault,) but when we finally saw Kayla to ask for sightseeing brochures, she had none to give us, stating that some were left in our bungalow. There were only a few in the folder. She recommended visiting a nearby garden, which was very mediocre. The mattress was extra firm, the chair cushions indoors and on the outside lounge chairs were thin and worn out. The 2 burner gas stove had to be lit with a match and barely fit 2 pans on it. We paid over $500 per night, with fees and taxes for this beach bungalow. It was a huge splurge to celebrate our anniversary and we were sorely disappointed! We do NOT recommend staying here! "
