"Overall the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They took care of some of our additional requests that we had for our room as my wife was pregnant, which was much appreciated. The main hotel lobby and reception area was very well decorated. The room felt like it good do with a bit of modernisation and a refresh. However was clean tidy and perfectly functional and practical. Breakfast was good quality and staff were friendly. Overall very happy with our stay and would consider it good value for the money. The secure car park is a major plus."

"Very stylish hotel that maximises on its history. The decor is well appointed. I did find that the hotel shower head wasn't great with many of the water holes clogged with limescale and mould. These would benefit from a deep clean. Another criticism is that the roof top bar has slow service and the men's toilets had no hand soap. This was asked for but never materialised. Everything else was clean."

"New hotel, room very practical, new and clean (apart from one set if bedsheets, with dark hair that did not belong to us). No telephone to call reception in the room. Staff very polite and helpful. Was a bit surprised to have to pay extra for parking (nowhere on hotel details when I booked as far as I know). Good to have starbucks on site. On the whole, good experience but a bit expensive for a budget room, especially as we booked ages in advance"

"The hotel is in lovely grounds by the River Avon & has lots of parking space. The location is within easy reach by car of Kenilworth, Stoneleigh Abbey, Leamington Spa and Warwick. The room was quiet and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is a bit small but fine if not many are using it. Breakfast is a bit expensive if you pay for it separately and a bit early for us, during the week, but there was a good selection in the buffet and menu, although you had to pay extra for some dishes. The dinner was tasty although my fish dish was a bit salty. The hotel isn't very eco friendly. There were little water bottles in the bedroom & we were given more the second day. I saw a trolley full of them. This is a lot of plastic waste. There is no need for plastic water bottles: wevfilled our own water bottles with water from the bar. Also, although we were encouraged to not discard barely used towels, one of my towels was uneccessarily replaced."
