"Shelduck is ideal for a large family or for two families wanting a lovely place to stay with lots of room. Facilities are good. The owner lives nearby and is very helpful. There is a garden which, unfortunately, is not secure for an inquisitive dog."

"The Kames hotel is in fabulous location overlooking Bute and a great base for exploring. We spent a week here and still so much to see. The hotel is lovely blend of old and modern - rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and well furnished. We are each night in the restaurant and enjoyed great variety of delicious meals . The owner and staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. Our dog was made welcome too! "
