"We stayed while spending a view days exploring Loch Fyne and Kintyre, which the property is really well placed for. The property has been carefully renovated, with a homely lounge and bedroom and good quality kitchen and bathroom. Minard is well located for eating out at both Lochgilphead (we really annoyed an Indian at Taj Mahal) and Inveraray (great meal at Samphire), which are about 15-20 mins away. That said, the kitchen is also well equipped for cooking too. The wood burning fire places are always a lovely touch (especially in autumn) and the main fire place generates good warmth in the main part of the cottage, supplemented by electric heaters if needed. The only very slight downside to the cottage is that the views from inside are a little limited due to the hedgerow in front of the cottage. However, in summer the views from the garden over the loch would be great and to be fair we were out nearly all day until dark anyway for our autumn visit, at which point the starry skies (clear enough to see the Milky Way) are a great substitute."
