The historic building on the shores of loch Lomond was peaceful and serene. The staff was great and even upgraded our room for free which was a real treat. The restaurant and drinks were good as well. We found it perfect to be honest, its in a great setting opposite the loch, you can get the ferries across if you want to. The room was a bit tired but it was quiet and clean. The bar area was really nice and the breakfast good. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made all the difference. The hotel is also very dog-friendly — our dog felt just as at home as we did.
