"Sam, the general manager greeted us warmly on arrival, was very helpful, friendly and professional. Our courtyard room was clean and comfortable with a garden table just outside the door. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended for a stay in the Mendips with dogs."

"Fantastic host in Adrian. His team working on Thursday evening (Rob and Molly) gave brilliant service in the restaurant. The selection of food and flexibility of the kitchen was excellent. Awesome beer selection at the bar and a nice friendly bunch of locals to chat with after my meal. Room was spotless with a very comfortable bed and very good size powerful shower All in all a very good find. Will definitely be back."

The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, the rooms were lovely and comfortable, and we thought the prices were very reasonable. We were travelling with my 85-year-old father-in-law and found it a really convenient and comfortable base for our trip. We also ate at the pub and had breakfast — the full English gets a definite recommendation from both me and my father-in-law! Would happily stay here again and...
