"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"Perfect location to explore the area. We were there for the Llangollen Round - a 35 mile event - and it was the perfect place to begin. We had an amazing outdoor space which we used all the time as the weather was kind to us. We ate outside too as there wasn't a table for 4 accessible without having to move furniture about in the lounge. "It had all the comforts of a home! Full kitchen, TV with plenty of channels to choose from; electric fireplace; very cozy. Quiet location, met friendly people at both local pubs. Landlord was easily available and helpful. Bedding was too warm for us. Would have liked a lighter comforter or blanket and a small bar of hand soap in the bathroom. "

"There are places you can stay and wonder if they are worth the cost. Rest assured this isn't one of them. Isolated, quiet and rural with a spectacular location in the North Wales countryside. Lack of light pollution makes the night sky amazing in the hot tub. The host is wonderful and the place is top drawer. If you want city service this isn't the place for you, if you want quiet rural bliss it is. Tiddles the cat frequently visits too, so if you like cats she is fab (thanks for the mouse...
