For the most pleasant weather and to experience Castelli at its best, the ideal time to visit is during the late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to October).During late spring, the weather is comfortably warm, and the Provençal countryside is in full bloom. You'll find fields of poppies and other wildflowers, and the lavender fields typically begin to flower towards the end of June. This period is great for scenic drives through the Luberon and exploring the hilltop villages before the peak summer crowds and heat arrive.Early autumn offers similar delightful weather, with warm days and cooler evenings, and the grape harvest often begins in September. The light at this time of year is particularly beautiful for photography, and the region is less crowded than in July and August.
