A great weekend away for my husbands birthday. The hotel is easy to find. Staff, through all levels, were very professional, courteous and made you feel very welcome. Our room was spotless but next time we stay we will probably pay extra so we can try one of the suites. Food was to a very high standard. All in all many thanks to the hotel and staff for making our weekend away an enjoyable one. Christine and Martin

Nicely decorated room with big bathroom, good shower and very comfortable bed. Helpful staff, especially about late check-in) and good breakfast. Nice location. Good value for money

From the outside this property looks run down but nothing could be further from the truth once you’re inside. Apparently council tardiness is responsible for the lack of external refurb as the building is listed. The rooms are spotless and very well provisioned in every sense. The dining room serves excellent food for both breakfast and other meals and at reasonable prices. Ignore the facade and do yourself a favour!!

Great hotel in Musselburgh, close to Joppa and Portobello beach. Lovely staff and great breakfast Busy pub serving meals Booked double room and was allocated huge family room, toiletries included with tea and coffee facilities Bus stop outside takes about 30 minutes to Waverley Station Would definitely recommend.

Nothing to fault whatsoever, Had a excellent stay , the tweedledale arms is in a very quiet village with all the things a counryside village you'd expect

It was absolutely lovely! Very close to Edinburgh Waverley and some lovely restaurants. Calton Hill is right next door as well. The front desk staff was very helpful, and the room was plush and clean. We wish we could stay longer!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my 2nd visit to the Scotsman Hotel. This time my wife was booked for 3 nights with her elderly mother. The room was spacious, very quiet and the view onto Princes Street was breathtaking. Breakfast was first rate - a fantastic selection of breads, fruit salads, cold meats, cheeses, cereal and of course the full cooked breakfast! An excellent hotel with character, class, and great service. I can understand why The Balmoral Hotel is such a famous place to stay when visiting Edinburgh.

My son and his partner found this to be a very welcoming place and they really enjoyed their stay. My son was wished a Happy Birthday and their room was lovely. They loved the Breakfasts and enjoyed the facilities. I expect they will return in the future. Thank you

Great hotel perfect location staff really attentive and so polite. Breakfast was lovely great choice and freshly prepared. The bed was so comfortable and nice pillows too. I would really recommend a stay here.

We were allowed early access to our room and std checkout was late enough to be really helpful! Staff were all excellent.
