"The hotel is a convenient short walk to Portsmouth and Southsea attractions. The staff were friendly and attentive on Reception and the bar area and restaurant. A good choice of food and drinks are available at breakfast, throughout the day and dinner at competitive prices. Parking on site is limited and at a cost, additional parking is available roadside with a ticket from reception. The room was adequate, clean but tired and required some maintenance. We had no hot water in the bathroom hand...

"This is our 5th stay pre cruise at the Doubletree Hilton, all very clean and service very good. Easy check in. Comfortable clean rooms, this time we stayed half board and evening meal was excellent value for money. Breakfast was good. Do think car parking should be free though for guests staying at the hotel overnight."

"The rooms are all modern with new bathrooms, convenient plug points and superfast WIFI. I stayed in Room 39 on the 1st floor without any issues to report. I'll be back over the next few weeks and have multiple trips booked here - rooms are to a consistently better level than the Hotel & Spa (same chain) situated next to the Lodge - the Lodge is also cheaper :)"
