"A quality hotel situated in a good position."
The hotel is in a prime position close to Town and most amenities. Coach station two minutes away and trips to all parts of the Island are just across the road. Well situated for restaurants although the Hotel's own main restaurant offered excellent food particularly the Friday night Fish special event.

"First Visit to Hotel de France (not our last)."
This was our first visit to Jersey and to the Hotel de France. The staff are first class, very helpful and friendly, even offered to park our hire car for us when we arrived. The room was very nice, on the third floor, with a beautiful view over Jersey. Air conditioning would have been nice in the room, as it was very hot when we visited, but then we suppose it would spoil the facade of the hotel. We had several meals in the Garden Room, which were always very nice, although the menu could have been a little more extensive in the evenings. We had an afternoon tea, which was exquisite. We didn't get any chances to sample the facilities of the Spa, which we were told were open to us, as we were out exploring Jersey each day. This, however, gives us the perfect excuse to return for another stay there and use the spa and pool. We have promised ourselves to return in 2017.

"Great hotel. Lovely staff"
Stayed here on an Expedia deal. Great hotel, well located. Superb restaurant and staff lovely. Only drawback, from earlier experience, is that rooms on the street side can be noisy, especially when the pubs turn out.

"Probably best beach hotel in Jersey at St Brelade"
From what we saw in staying in Jersey for a week, the hotel is right on the best beach. We went in early Sept, after school holidays and beach was nearly empty but all facilities like water sports running. Hotel is in a great position, room was lovely. Staff very friendly. Food was very good. We used the bus stops outside the hotel, which made travel very easy😃. My wife used the spa for massage, which was good and we used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna, which we enjoyed. We went to Jersey war tunnels (very interesting), Durrells wildlife park (very good), country tour including Ransoms garden centre (nice for mature people) and travelled around the island, stopping in St Hellier several time. Jersey is very clean and pretty modern but with historical places, such as the Castles. Cycling route was good and walks to spectacular scenery.

We have been to Jersey several times but never stayed in this area. We were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel, the room was very clean when we arrived & all the staff were friendly & helpful - it seemed nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely remember it should we visit again.

"Great location service and quiet"
Great location great food and service; hotel that fits the price but lacking in the small things that would make it stand out. No tea making facilities in room and they charge at £2.00 per drink brought to room. I stay in many hotels and have always been provided with complimentary beverages when not available in room. Similarly a biscuit or chocolate with after dinner drink would make things perfect. At the cost per room I dont think such a request would be unreasonable. Staff were very attentive and food of high quality. Very good and striving for excellence.

Jersey is more than six times closer to France than England, and offers regular ferries to the picturesque ports of Granville in Lower Normandy and St Malo in Brittany.
