First impressions of hotel with public areas were impressive and staff were welcoming and very helpful. Our room was on top floor and this did not match with the quality and high standard of the public areas of the hotel. It was clean but a dated room. It did not feel particularly modern or in-keeping ...

Hotel is back a bit for sea which gives you lovely views of the whole bay. The food was delicious especially the smoked haddock and kippers! All staff that we came across were so good, friendly and very amusing sometimes! All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day break here and would recommend.
Sadly I had back problems during my stay, and the hotel staff were very helpful fixing up bus tours and taxis , as I could not do a great deal of walking. I also enjoyed reading in the spacious lounge when my husband spent time exploring without me. My room service meal was very good.
Visited The Sommerville hotel with my husband for a few days and the hotel was perfect. We requested a room with a view and we arrived to a gorgeous room overlooking the bay. The staff are all friendly and the food is always of a very high standard.
