We stayed for an overnight and we're not disappointed. Ore room was lovely, comfortable and quite airy. The blackout curtains were a fabulous touch especially with the lighter nights. The pool and spa facilities were a great addition and were very relaxing to use especially later in the evening.
We only ate breakfast in the hotel however this was very lovely and plentiful with a number of options available.
Staff who we spoke to were friendly and knowledgeable.
We would definitely stay here again and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
Quick, smooth, efficient check-in.Had the Castleview room (303),not the most modern facilities but its a beautiful old building so what can you do?
Lovely, very comfortable 4 poster bed and great blackout curtains so amazing nights sleep.Breakfast was a nice combination of buffet cereals etc and a really good waiter service. Staff make this hotel even better with polite, friendly service.will definitely stay here again thank you very much!
In a quiet rural location, we were in the newer part, (no 44) excellent clean high standard self catering accommodation with all mod cons. Swimming pool a hit with adults and children. The sofa bed in the lounge was terrible, lumpy and gave me backache. When I mentioned it on checking out they said they were in the process of replacing them....not quick enough in my opinion so if you have adults and 2 children in your group make sure you get 2 bedrooms or risk an uncomfortable nights sleep and back pain the next morning.
The room was a good size and the bathroom was also good but both were dated and showing signs of the need for redecoration. Breakfast was not the best with tinned fruit lack of condiments etc, though tasted nice
A very nice inn close to north Yorkshire dales. Very good food. Rooms are good, with facilities as you would expect for the price. The night was a bit noisy as there was a show down stairs. But that can be excused as an exception.
Lancaster is the county town of Lancashire, and the seat of the Duchy of Lancaster. Settled since Roman times, its center boasts a number of beautiful buildings, notably the Ashton Memorial, Lancaster Castle and St Mary's Church. The city has a thriving cultural life, with art galleries, music venues, and museums in abundance. A large firework festival is held around Bonfire Night every November.
