Great selection of beer, proper cobs and pork pie and, despite being a busy pub, the room was very quiet and supremely comfortable. The staff were all so friendly. "This was a weekend stay to facilitate attendance at an event and to visit friends. The room was clean and spacious enough for our stay. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate makings were in the room along with biscuits. The landlady was friendly and acommadating. Parking was nearby in a street, the permit for which was provided by the landlady. The breakfasts were brilliant with a great selection on offer and quality food provided, cooked to perfection."
