"nice boutique hotel"
It's a lovely little place with names for rooms. Mine was a mini suite on the front. I'd rate it overall a 5 except it is near a fairly busy intersection and so a bit noisy. I slept well using ear plugs. The people running it are young and very nice. It's about two km from the Temple Bar (central area), a 25 min walk if you don't dilly dally. A 15 min walk to the Irish Museum. I was always glad to get back to it after a busy day walking about, sort of like home.

"LOVED this place. "
This place was fantastic. Affordable castle aren't two things that you'd put in the same sentence, but this was the case here. The staff was excellent. The bar was cool. I would like to go back next week.

"Lovely weekend stay"
Lovely couple that run the B&B, very friendly and helped with advice on Dublin whenever they could. Also gave us a lift back to the airport when we left. We would definitely stay there again if we returned to Dublin. Thank you :)

"Beginning and ending of Ireland trip"
The hotel staff at the main desk needs to learn how to greet travelers. Especially travelers that are staying multiple nights and purchasing multiple rooms. Barely and hello and barely a thank you. I seemed like an inconvenience. I felt like it was my job to figure out where everything was within the hotel and how things worked. Otherwise the staff in the pub and restaurant and cleaning staff seemed great! Bathrooms need fans, ceilings need paint, better shower curtains. Otherwise seemed clean. Loved the on site pub and restaurant and overall location with off street parking and airport bus shuttle stop was great!

"Great Golf Hotel and Club"
My husband wanted to play the course so we spent two nights at the Portmarnock Hotel. The resort is under construction/refurbishing but it did not interfere with our stay. Our room was one of the recently upgraded rooms and it was very nice. The restaurant was very good and the service throughout the hotel was excellent.

"Great location with parking. "
We could walk into the main sites no problem and there was free parking. All the downtown hotels did not have free parking. You could book with or without breakfast. It is family run and a great experience. We were there during the holidays and it was all festively decorated. It is great for families

"Close to city centre"
Close to city centre and friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is in need of a bit of tlc and even though our room was on the 3rd floor you could still hear the noise from the bar and the outside smoking area. I'm sure the walkway from lift to room swayed and can only put this down to the vibrations from the music!!!
