We stayed for a week at the Arrecife Gran. It was a great experience, in regards to the staff, the food and facilities on offer.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, whether in the restaurant or the front desk.
Breakfast is probably the best I've experienced in terms of variety on offer - there's a huge range from Sugar Puffs to Bucks Fizz! I had full English every day, whereas others chose the continental option.
Evening dinner can be a buffet affair, which I highly recommend, with the option of a drinks pack for 10 Euros, which entitles you to a bottle of house wine, plus a bottle of water for just 10 Euros - terrific value!

We were looking for somewhere to get some winter sun and Hesperia was recommended. Not disappointed - staff service was consistently excellent and room was very good. We were B&B only - but the marina is around a 10 minute walk and there are some great restaurants serving both tapas style Spanish food and burgers etc. We'll be back next year!
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 10 days, together with the rest of my family for a family celebration. While it is a large hotel complex it never felt overcrowded, it's all very generous with wide corridors, tall ceilings, etc. Our room was lovely with an excellent bathroom and private balcony. We booked half-board, so had use of the three buffet restaurants, as well as getting €25 / person off at the three gourmet restaurants, which we all tried. All very good, but we got a bit bored with the buffet in the end, and enjoyed the gourmet restaurants much more, which were absolutely brilliant. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and is really beautiful. We didn't really use the pool much. There are some good shops in the hotel. My parents loved the piano bar. My brother's two kids loved the bouncy castle room and the kids' disco in the evening.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The hotel Vulcan was the perfect place for us: luxurious facilities, very friendly staff, the pretty harbour and restaurants very nearby. The only thing I would say is that the hotel is located outside of the village of Playa Blanca, so a car is essential to get around and explore the area.
