Faultless hotel - it is colossal but extremely well-run, spotlessly clean, amazing food and excellent facilities. The abundance of beautiful, fresh food was almost embarrassing - a real treat. We were upgraded to a junior suite as the hotel was fully booked so had a spacious room with a living area and a lovely sea view. The pools were all wonderful, the animation team was excellent and not too 'in your face' - my 7 year old and I played a lot of table tennis whenever there was a rain shower (sadly frequently during our 4 day stay!) The staff were all super-friendly and very amenable.
However, I would probably not go back to the Sandos Papagayo because a) the location - it is too far away from the airport - the taxi ride was nearly 50 Euros each way - a good 40 mins. And b) the beach in front of the hotel must be accessible from the hotel as I saw people on it but no idea how you got down to it from the hotel ... and it is black sand which makes it pretty unattractive. They have a free shuttle bus to and from the town nearby but we did not leave the hotel for 4 days as my daughter just wanted to go in the pool. Personally I would have liked to go for a walk nearby or wander around the town a little but due to the bad weather and the fact that you had to get a bus to go anywhere, we stayed put.
Would definitely recommend. We stayed in a standard room and we did not feel inferior to the 'deluxe' guests at all. The pool area was lovely and the rooms were spacious. The food was lovely and had lots of options.
We visited for my wife birthday for 10 days between 16.10-26.10.2014.Upon arrival at the hotel our bags were taken directly to our room,we started our holiday with a glass of champagne while we checked in.We did not arrive until 9.30pm so we went straight to evening meal.Through-out our stay the food was excellent,you have certain named brands for drinks.Our room was ground floor and was lovely.The entertainment was some of the best we have seen at all inclusive hotels.The pool area was excellent very relaxing particularly in the afternoon.Daytime entertainment staff also very good.Short walk to the beach which was also fantastic.Overall we had a fantastic time so thank you and well done to everyone at Sentido White Suites.
This hotel is staffed with well trained efficient, friendly staff. The standard of the hotel and gardens is outstanding. The food choice and quality is excellent. The property is well laid out, it is big, but so much space. Cannot praise enough.

My partner and I are late 20s and wanted a week in the sun to simply relax and do very little! From getting off the plane we were through customs and at the hotel within an hour. The double room was very spacious and clean, the only negative being that it was two singles pushed together still using single bedding. The room was bright and had good air con which was needed! The pools were all clean and warm, and it was easy to get a good spot in the morning. We sat by the pool pretty much all day, using the very good pool bars to keep hydrated with beer and cola. The food was much better than I'd expected. A good variety each night and lunch time, and always something different to choose. The piano bar got fairly busy each night but it was still easy to get drinks, the majority of branded spirits were included in the all inclusive which was great! The marina is only a few minutes walk away with good restaurants and shops if you fancy a change as well.
All in all it was an excellent holiday at a great hotel. Nice and quiet and great for relaxing. Very friendly and helpful staff also
