"Nice hotel close to beach, shops, bars and eateries"
Arrived 1 hour early but told room was ready so we moved in, unpacked, opened curtains to find we had a side sea view.We had paid extra for a full sea view, so after lunch we went back to reception and explained. They said the correct room would not be available until next day, and sure enough it was, so we re packed and unpacked again, a minor thing, but would have been better if reception had explained the problem on 1st day instead of, we felt, trying it on.
As we were all inclusive, we found it slightly annoying that we had to give room number and sign for everything, even a cup of coffee, and on one occasion the Waiter requested name room number / signature in restaurant mid mouthful.
Not all food and drinks were all inclusive, but most drinks, even premium brands were.
Gripes over, the hotel is generally what you have paid for.

Iberostar Grand Hotel Anthelia in Tenerife is now officially a luxurious hotel with a 5 Star category.More
went for our honeymoon treated brilliant by staff, room done up with flower petals bottle of champagne on ice everything was perfect, breakfast great choice you could have cava to accompany breakfast well done med palace, will be staying again.
Hotel is adults only which makes for a pleasant relaxing time. There are some good restaurants very close by if you prefer to eat out. Playa Fanabe is about 10 minutes walk along the promenade for a even wider choice (though not so up-market).
Everything is kept very clean and the staff are very helpful.
Stunning hotel, with stunning views, great facilities and great staff who could not do enough. Nice little touches like returning to your room after dinner to find a couple of chocolates with a little card with tomorrow's weather.
Excellent hotel located a short 10 minute walk away from a nice sandy beach. 5 star service throughout the duration of our stay. We upgraded to a corner club suite on the top floor and were very satisfied with the huge ocean view room and large balcony area.
Choice of three restaurants for dinner (one of them a buffet with themes varying each night). We ate at the buffet twice during our 7 night stay and once at the Japanese grill which we found to be excellent. Prices were on the high side and comparable to a high end dinner in a city like London, sadly the quality of food not at the same standard.
Various swimming pools, some heated and lots of sun beds which we had no problem obtaining at any time of day despite the hotel being full.
The hotel is baby friendly with lots of high chairs at the restaurants and all areas were accessible with a pushchair. We're fans of baby led weaning which often results in lots of food on the floor; the waiters and waitresses were absolutely fine with this and even stopped us when tried to clear up some of the mess left by our little one! There's a shallow baby pool and other activities for toddlers and older children.
The main resort area is a short 10-15 minute walk away from the hotel where a range of bars and restaurants can be found along with shopping malls - it's also a pleasant walk along the boardwalk by the beach, particularly during cooler evenings. There's also a small parade of shops/restaurants opposite the hotel.
Me and my partner have stayed in many 5 star hotels, and this is up there with the best. Cannot recommend the red level enough, the staff were brilliant and the facilities second to none. The hotel is in a very quiet area, perfect for relaxing. Me and my partner stayed for one week, and never got bored. The spa is good, choice of pools excellent (although we mainly stayed around the red level pool) The hot tubs in the garden areas looking out to sea were bliss (complimentary use throughout the day). We we given a complimentary room upgrade on arrival, to a room with a hot tub and sea view, brilliant! The food in the red level was excellent, however a little lacking in some of the other restaurants- especially when you consider the price. That was our only gripe, and it would be expensive to eat in the red level or fine dining every day/night. A special mention to Zak in the memos bar - excellent pianist. And the pool side staff, all very hard working and helpful. Will defiantly be visting this hotel again.
