"Nice hotel close to beach, shops, bars and eateries"
Arrived 1 hour early but told room was ready so we moved in, unpacked, opened curtains to find we had a side sea view.We had paid extra for a full sea view, so after lunch we went back to reception and explained. They said the correct room would not be available until next day, and sure enough it was, so we re packed and unpacked again, a minor thing, but would have been better if reception had explained the problem on 1st day instead of, we felt, trying it on.
As we were all inclusive, we found it slightly annoying that we had to give room number and sign for everything, even a cup of coffee, and on one occasion the Waiter requested name room number / signature in restaurant mid mouthful.
Not all food and drinks were all inclusive, but most drinks, even premium brands were.
Gripes over, the hotel is generally what you have paid for.

went for our honeymoon treated brilliant by staff, room done up with flower petals bottle of champagne on ice everything was perfect, breakfast great choice you could have cava to accompany breakfast well done med palace, will be staying again.
from check in to check out the staff were extremely helpful. The suite was extremely well finished and furnished, all mod cons - appliances are all touch operated and no requirements were missed, we had a juicer! Breakfast could be served in the room or taken in the hotel restaurant. we used room service and it was excellent. The rooms were cleaned each day, new towels and toiletries were left and the bed was turned down at night. Both pool areas were suited more for adults than children, which was fine for us. overall a great week.
Having stayed at this hotel last year in July we decided to go back for a week early September. We were'nt disappointed & enjoyed it just as much as last year. In fact it had improved as last year people were placing towels on sunbeds early morning & not using them until late morning or maybe afternoon. However, this year the lifeguard takes any towels on sunbeds where they are not in use, bags them up & people have to go to ask for them back. Great improvement.
Weather was great, only one day was cloudy, lots of sunbeds, good size pool where you can actually swim!
Close to bars, restaurants, shops & beach. Generally attracts older people, particularly as they make wheelchair access easy.
Had various entertainment each evening for approx 1 hour, often a singer or band. Personally I wasn't so keen on the resident musician who played a keyboard.
We stayed for a week. The saltwater pool is lovely and the pool area is very nice. The saltwater pool itself is very cold so if you can endure the cold it is usually quite empty. The main pool area is also very nice with lots of sunbeds.
Breakfast was very good as was any food that we ate in the hotel. However we tended to eat in one of many very nice restaurants in the area around the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.
Loved this lovely old hotel. Very friendly helpful staff, very clean with a daily change of towels and clean of room. Didn't eat there but lovely live music played every evening in the restaurant. Very central location in the old town, right by the church which did wake us each morning but otherwise very quiet...would definitely book again
