Loved this place, a little out of Cartmel but liked that, pleasant evening stroll into town, great view across the racecourse, well looked after hotel, plenty of parking
Points to improve could do with some car chargers but thats a minor point, will be back

Staff were excellent. The food was excellent. Everywhere was spotless. The 4 bedrooms are up 3 flights of stairs but the staff we extremely helpful. An enjoyable experience. The pub is quirky.

We received a warm welcome in the bar and were shown our room. The room was quite small but it was clean and well laid out and had everything we needed.
Breakfast of cereal bar, instant porridge and a croissant is provided but we headed to the Wetherspoons or local cafe.
The bar is very welcoming and has a nice atmosphere.
We liked the central location for exploring Lancaster and not far from the University so we were able to easily visit our son.
We will definitely be back.

A very comfortable and clean guest house close to Heysham Ferry Port with long stay parking available. No kitchen but breakfast available a few minutes walk away at the nearby beach cafe and lunches and evening meals available at the cafes and inns in Heysham Conservation area within a 15 minute walk.

We had a lovely stay recently for a wedding, hosts were more than welcoming, comfy beds and a lovely breakfast. Thank you for being great hosts! We will be booking again for our next trip to the lakes.

I used to stay at this Hotel on a regular (often fortnightly) basis a few years ago as it offered well above average accommodation. I liked its location, which gave a balanced mix of easy access with rural unspoilt views, which is a rare treat for anybody who spends weeks driving up and down the Motorway networks. But what I especially liked was the staff, as they are the entire backbone of this hotel and a credit to its Management, I can't say that i've ever had one negative experience, either...

I put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles!
I eventually arrived at a building signposted as the ‘equestrian centre’ so I drove a bit further and ended up driving around some lane in a woods (surrounded by curious deer and badgers!). I rang the owner again and...

Over all a great night stay. Clean. Tidy. Lovely service and helpful. My only slight feedback would be the bed was quite hard (but that’s down to personal preference) and it would be great alongside the shampoo and conditioner if there was shower gel. But these are minor things, had a lovely stay and will be booking again for sure.
