"I did not like the restaurant being part of the public bar area. We booked a table and when we arrived people were using our table as part of the drinking area and had to be moved. We could not enjoy our meal because of the noise and disruption you can expect from a public bar although the food and service were good.

"The courtyard room was especially suited to my disability. Stunning display of baskets and plants with table n chairs to have a chill out time. It was light and fresh and clean. A few cobwebs but hey! we’re in the countryside. Spiders need somewhere to live. The shower cubicle was a little tired. But fine. The hot water problem was due to a burst main in the Main Street. Unavoidable hiccup. Beds super comfy. Lots of refreshments. Staff very happy and pleasant and nothing too much trouble...

"It is a lovely hotel but just lacking in a few areas. I think mostly due to been under staffed. The food was lovely but they had ran out of some things on our 2nd night. The rooms were very hot and it would have been nice for them to offer fans. We had no hot water Tues morning and Tues night. "The room was okay for my adult son and I. TV was well placed and had a fairly large screen. Beds were comfortable but squeaky. Nice soft towels in the bathroom. Bath and shower worked well. Breakfast too expensive , no light breakfast choice and times didn't suit us but the breakfast in Golden Acre park cafe is a good alternative. Hotel was convenient to visit family but it doesn't have the free facilities as it had in the past. Good bar menu. We'll priced drinks. A good atmosphere. Caters for...
