Venezia-Murano-Burano Pet-friendly Holidays

The room and bathroom were functional and pretty clean but the furniture included aging bedding, split cushions on old chairs that could have been recovered to be charming but along with everything bed frame, tables, mirrors, dresser all chipped and peeling left the room feeling very tired and not comfortable to relax in. Except for the sheets themselves the fabrics are hairy and dusty. It’s unfortunate as the hotel itself is character filled and full of potential. The breakfast was adequate but the staff had to asked but everyone to get the outdoor tables cleaned repeatedly to get the bird poop cleaned, I understand it’s a thankless task but if 8 guests are standing with plates in hands looking to sit in that space that the hotel has opened to them then the issue is on them. Again- adorable courtyard not shown in best light. The carpet in all the stairs and hallways has not been cleaned in a while.

Location

Upon arrival I was told I actually was not staying at Adua, but instead at a different one a 27 minute walk away. I had originally booked this hotel due to the location to the train station being close. We got there and the toilet was broken and had no toilet seat, I called the manager and he said all he could do was provide free breakfast in the morning. Come the morning and there was no staff or breakfast. We were given dirty sheets and told to use the main bathroom in the dining room. Would not recommend unless you are staying for only the night.

The room was very nice, and had air conditioning. It was tucked in a quiet alley, but they had very good security on the doors as well. The staff was so helpful, and let us check in early. They also carried our bags up the stairs. When we go in our room they also provided a free bottle of prosecco which was amazing. Also when we got dropped off in the water taxi it was a three minute walk to the hotel. The train is also a three minute walk so that was great! We loved our stay at this hotel. No complaints
