Luxury Venice Holidays & Travel

Great property. Good location. Friendly and professional staff. Spacious room. Beautiful decor. Ticked all the boxes! Perfect stay 🙏

Disappointing value: tired room, no dinner service, no warning We paid around €460 for two nights at Hotel Barbarich and, sadly, it didn't feel like good value. There were some positives. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was good, with pleasant staff serving it. Some of the other staff were noticeably less friendly, though. The room wasn't well cleaned. Some of the wooden skirting and fittings were swollen and damaged, and the bathroom sink taps leaked. There was no milk for the tea and coffee. These are small things, but at this price they add up. The advertised shuttle to Venice was fully booked, so we couldn't use it. The biggest letdown came on Monday evening. There was no restaurant, kitchen or room service at all, and nobody mentioned this when we left for Venice that morning. When we got back, the hotel offered no help or alternative beyond suggesting we order pizza on Deliveroo, which is what we ended up doing. A simple heads-up that morning would have let us plan dinner in Venice. With better maintenance, housekeeping and communication, this could be a pleasant stay, but it needs a lot of improvement to justify the price. The grounds were better maintained than the hotel.

Perfect location near all the points of interest but on the grand canal so you are in wide open space. Staff is helpful. Excellent bar and food. Bonus is all of the antique artifacts throughout the hotel. Only complaint is the HVAC in our room Didn’t work - at least we couldn’t lower the temp and so were overheated the entire stay. Otherwise all good.

The place was beautiful, immaculate and overall perfect. The staff is top notch, friendly and professional.

Had the best stay here! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the views outside were immaculate! Will always stay here for every trip to Venice!

Everything was great. I tried to do 5 stars and my app wouldn’t let me! This is a great hotel, excellent staff, fun bartenders, perfect location away from crowds, water taxi can pull right up to front, beds are comfy , very clean and safe hotel, loads of restaurants close by. I’d definitely stay again
