"Off the main road which was good. We thought it was a nice, pleasant place to stay within a short drive of Chester. I would recommend this place to friends visiting the area. We were just a couple that stayed for a week whilst building work was completed on our house and found it competitively priced so if you are a group of 4 then it would represent even better value. "Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. Not a problem for the adults, but the kids weren’t comfortable. "

"The hotel rooms are quite tired. Communal areas are better. It is an old building and that restricts the layout but the bathroom had a broken basin, light that didn’t work, toilet flush button was broken, hairdryer and kettle both very hot with use. The room was also very warm with no aircon. Great location and the breakfast was good but not a luxury stay."

"It’s ok. Convenient for a morning departure. Basic room. Needs updating. Aircon barely worked but I know aircon isn’t really a thing in the UK. But it was fine. I should have stayed in the city and got up a bit earlier to get to the airport which takes no time really."

"After finally being allocated a room, the room was stiflingly hot as this was the hottest May on record, and the in room AC did not work. As such we had to open the window later that evening when the outside temperature had dropped low enough, but were then unable to get any sleep as the hotel backs on to a railway station, and we had to listen to trains arriving and departing probably every 10 mins or so until about midnight. We were leaving the hotel at 3:30am and so had not sleep at all."

"Lovely hotel with pleasant staff. Our room was a great size with a bathroom that had a deep bath and a walk in shower. It was all very clean. There was air conditioning in the room that had to work hard as it was nearly 30° and it it did a great job! There were plenty of spaces in the car park although there was a parking charge. Took us about 10 nins to walk into the main area of Chester. We didn't eat in the hotel so unable to comment on the food although we noticed the dining room looked nice. Would definitely stay again."
