This property had all the essentials for a relaxing holiday with the new shower room being the highlight. With the fine weather we experiened during our stay it great to able eat out side using the table and chairs provided The cottage has relatively easy access to Wells and Glastonbury for their historical attractions and the benefit of two local pubs in Wookey for eating out in the evenings. Access to the Somerset levels was also reasonably convenient but be aware that the roads are mainly single lane with passing places. Gill was very helpful during the booking process and throughout our stay.
Had a lovely short break with boyfriend in the quiet Somerset countryside. Was our first holiday of the year since the pandemic and we were pleasantly surprised. Gill made us feel so welcome upon arrival. The cottage was stunning and we felt so relaxed, the wood burner is an excellent addition. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break.
This cottage and the surrounding vineyards were absolutely beautiful. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and we had everything we needed.
Walking through the vineyards we were just blown away by how beautiful it all was.
We followed recommendations in the visitors guide in the cottage and ate at The Pheasant in Worth (walking distance) and also the Sheppey in Godney. Both were lovely, the food was great but the Sheppey is a wonderful experience, you would never know how quirky this place is unless you visit and the food is out of this world.
We saw little of Gill and Dave which was fine because we knew we could call on them if we needed.
Would definitely recommend.

We stayed 5 nights in June 2019. This charming stone cottage was very well equipped and featured a most comfortable bed. Our hosts Gill and James offered a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and were happy to chat and suggest walks, advice on pubs and features of the area. We really enjoyed Wells, particularly the Bishops Palace and found Wookey provided a nice glimpse of life in a rural English village. We could have stayed much longer and highly recommend this property.

Nice, relaxing stay
We visited the cottage for Christmas. Generally, we enjoyed the stay, however the cottage could have been better equipped and cleaner. The kitchen is lacking in basics – no soup ladle, very few glasses/ cups and not enough basic utensils. The TV is tiny, computer screens are bigger these days. This is something we wouldn’t mind in the summer when you spend most of the time outside, but in the middle of the winter during Christmas we spend quite a bit of time in front of TV as normally there is no time for this. Bathroom is dated with constant “drain like/sewage” smell. We have been visiting different places in last 5 years during Christmas time so have a bit of comparison. For the price paid we’d expect more. It is a beautiful cottage with a lot of character, it just needs a bit of updating.

Sehr ruhig, nette Vermieter

Peaceful weekend
We loved this cottage and had a very peaceful and restful weekend. It had everything we needed and was beautifully presented. Our dog, Poppy, felt immediately at home too and loved walks in the fields and the surrounding area. Gill was very helpful and friendly and we had a very enjoyable at the local pub. Thank you very much.

Tranquil and comfortable, a perfect getaway.
We loved our stay, great walks with the dog around the area. The cottage was well equipped and peaceful. We went on a wine tour with James which was informative, we have a greater appreciation of what it takes to enjoy a glass. The Orgata white is lovely!
Jill made sure we knew what there was to do and things to see, they were warm and welcoming but not intrusive!
The wood burner made the little nook all the more homely. We hope to return with Poppy dog soon.

Entspannte Tage

A very comfortable cottage with all we needed for a good stay
The cottage is beautifully converted and retains charming and unusual features such as internal wooden shutters on some of the windows and exposed stone walling. Everything we needed in the kitchen was supplied and we watched the birds visiting the nest in the shed while we ate our breakfast. A lovely spot, friendly hosts, a good week.

Delightful
We very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage at Pannier's Farm. It is spacious, well equipped and in a lovely, peaceful location. It has its own private courtyard garden and it was very pleasant to sit outside on the warmer evenings. Being close to Wells, it is a convenient base for exploring much of Somerset. It is a short walk to the Pheasant Inn, which does excellent food. We hope to visit again soon.

The perfect farm cottage, convenient to Wells and its cathedral, an ideal host in Gill Cumming.
A wonderful to wake to and to end the day with. Equipped kitchen. Firewood provided in abundance. Comfortable bed. The shower, always important when we travel, gave warm/hot water in abundance. The cottage has its own secure enclosure and we never felt any need to lock our doors. We stayed three nights and drove to Stonehenge, Glastonbury, and many other areas we hoped to visit. Highest recommendation!

Cozy cottage for two
An excellent few nights rest and relaxation near Wells. The cottage has everything you need and is so quiet. It is a real gem within walking distance of the city either along the road or on rambling footpaths. We love the area so will probably be back. Thank you James and Gill

Comfortable and quiet place to stay with very friendly owners
The cottage was really delightful : a mixture of modern convenience with some quirky and interesting period features. It was close to Wells and yet really quiet and peaceful. There were lots of places nearby to eat out as well as lots of interesting places to visit. We visited some National Trust properties : Montacute House, Lytes Carey and Barrington Court as well as Cheddar Gorge. We had a couple of visits to the coast : Weston Super Mare and Burnham on Sea as well as a day in Wells. For those who like to shop there's also the Clarkes village in Street.
All in all, we had a very varied week which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Full of character, a charming cottage!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Panniers Farm. We were made to feel very comfortable and enjoyed exploring what the farm had to offer including the homemade cider which was delicious. The cottage itself was perfect for two people and had everything we needed, being able to bring the dog was a bonus. Would recommend a short walk to the Pheasant Inn, food was excellent!
Thanks for a brilliant stay, we hope to come back again!!

Great location
Enjoyed our stay at Panniers Farm cottage in December. We were lucky enough to be there when they were serving their own mulled wine - it was delicious! We were happy that we were able to get the cottage good and cosy with the log stove, which was rather important as we had just arrived from California. Great location - close to Wells but also very rural. Gill and James are excellent hosts and their wine is outstanding.
Thank you for a most enjoyable UK holiday.
