Typisch englisches Hotel

Hotel in ziemlich lauter Lage

Posted 04-Aug-2016

A little gem

Posted 15-May-2016 on Hotels
We stayed for two nights at this hotel originally built in 1483!! The room.was great with good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating in the pub (the food was excellent). The historic nature and general lack of tourists around (they are all in Bath) made it a quiet little gem of a town. Highly recommended

Excellent value for money

Perfect stay before a day at Longleat Safari Park. Didn't arrive till gone 10pm as travelled after work but it was easy to check in at the bar. Music was so good we decided to go back down for a couple of drinks. The room was excellent value for money and although the breakfast took a while to cook, it was delicious.

Thanks for a very comfortable short stay. Room a bit noisy but helpful staff moved me to a quieter room on second night. for an old inn I thought it was very clean and comfortable bed, plenty of room. Very nice breakfast , though I would have liked a tea-pot and coffee in a jug. Staff were friendly and obliging . great manager in Nicola. Would stay again.

Thank you Valerie for your comments, I have bought cafetieres and new tea pots, so hopefully should you wish to join us again, you will be able to make the most of the hot beverages in the morning, I certainly need a good cup of tea to get me moving in the morning. Would be lovely to see you again

Pre Center parcs break

Had difficulty parking for 2 night stay but welcomed by staff and shown to room which was comfortable. Warned about noise till 2pm but was not too much of an issue. Room missed out on a service but this was immediately rectified when we made a comment. Breakfast on both days was freshly cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only two negatives. Car parking and squeaky floorboards. But would stay again if in the area.
