Convenient for sightseeing; Bath; Salisbury etc.

Pros: The staff and character of the old hotel (500 years).
Cons: The town is run down and needs a facelift. Soundproofing needs improvement.
Location: Handy to local sights.
Old premises but cannot complain otherwise go to a modern hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good and service excellent.

Pros: It was exactly what we needed for a stay over, clean and confortable, included a good breakfast and the staff were great.
Cons: The disco was loud at times but of course we were made fully aware of this at the time of booking and were spoken to about it again on check in.
Location: With only staying for one night we only explored the hotel and the local supermarket.
We stayed at the hotel for one night whilst travelling round the south of England. This is hotel was very welcoming and the staff were very pleasant. It was a very busy place but they didnt keep you waiting and helped in any way they could. The car park was full when we arrived but we were told of another place to park by the staff a minutes walk away and then we moved our car later on that evening. We were shown up to our room and everything was explained. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a dj on at the hotel on a Saturday evening which we knew about in advance and were told that this didnt finished until 1am, and at 1am it finished. Was lod at times but as we knew about it in advance this was not a problem. Breakfast was lovely with a choice of cereal, fruit and yogurt, juices and a full English Breakfast and toast with tea or coffee. We enjoyed our one night stay and would use this hotel again if we were in the area and would recommend to a friend.

Fanatstic place to stay

This hotel is very nice, booked a room for £40 and didn't really expect much but it exceeded my expectations. The breakfast option was fantastic & even though there is a pub downstairs, we couldn't hear any noise & had a good nights sleep.

Old coaching Inn relives its highwayman history

Posted 20-Jul-2015
Pros: Clean, cherished housekeeping, good wholesome full English breakfast.
Cons: Reduction in noise levels from the vibrant party revellers and pounding rave music.
Location: Longleat Safari, Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Bath, Jane Austin, Weymouth and Somerset.
Though Expedia information does indicate it, this Wadworth coaching inn takes the guest back in history with its charming surroundings, however, if peace and a good night's sleep are your priority, on Friday and Saturday evening's, be prepared for a vibrant, if not raucous welcome as the courtyard becomes a busy meeting place with loud music for young people until the early hours.

sight seeing trip

We decided to stay here as it was a good location for sightseeing...Stone Henge etc. The breakfast which was included in the price was very good and we had 2 good evening meals which were reasonably priced. Great service from all staff. The room was clean and nicely furnished. My only criticism would be that the bathroom was a bit tired and needed deep cleaning
