My visit
I really enjoyed my 3 day stay at this quiet garden apartment.Laura was very helpful with directions for arrival, friendly and approachable. I have a friend who lives nearby so I was able to catch up with her and we visited The Savill Garden, Virginia Water & Windsor. There are some great walks around and about and the break did me a power of good.

Virginia Waters
We had a fantastic week at this holiday apartment, just perfect for 2 people, it's one of the best we've stayed in. The owners had thought of everything and were very welcoming and informative about the local area and beyond. Close to all amenities shops, restaurants and the train station which you were able to get to London Euston in just 40 minutes. We would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect garden apartment
Perfect in every way for a short stay in Virginia Water. Warm welcome from hosts David and Laura. Apartment spacious and comfortable with everything we needed and the beautiful garden was a bonus. Shops, restaurants and train station all within a short walking distance. Very easy to travel to Ascot and Windsor. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back to explore more of the area.

Super location and a wonderful cottage. We have stayed in holidays Cottages all over the British Isles and Chalk House is one of the best. Another lovely stay in Runnymede
We returned to this accommodation for the 2nd time. Everything is sparkling clean and super well equipped. All the furnishings and kitchen equipment are high quality which makes for an extremely comfortable stay. The garden is beautifully kept by the very friendly hosts (and cat!). It's a 5 minute walk to the station which takes you straight into Waterloo. There are a small number of local shops and restaurants- we had a lovely curry takeaway. It's a lovely, peaceful area and we will no doubt be back again. Thank you!

Perfect doesn't say enough
Regrettably we only stayed 3 nights here. Longer would have been much better as there is so much to see in this area. The apartment, or what we might call a "granny suite" was perfect. Clean! Decorated like something out of a magazine. Well stocked kitchen and a yard that "Homes and Gardens" could do a profile on. Sheeba, the cat was a bonus though she was not in the apartment. David and Laura are great hosts who make sure that you are settled in but otherwise are unseen. Lovely chats with both of them. A couple of blocks away is a string of shops and three restaurants that are worth a visit. there is a great coffee shop that is a licence to print money as it is always busy, and for good reason. Super coffee and pastries to tempt. We tried the Italian and Chinese restaurants and loved them both. WE would highly recommend this spot and would re-book without question. Thanks Laura and David!

Idyllic base for many attractions
A beautifully appointed annex with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Parking at the property and garden access too. Excellent hosts who are helpful, thoughtful and available if necessary. Best Property We've Stayed In
Staying at Chalk House's private accommodation was exactly what we needed to start our honeymoon off right, as well as make for an enjoyable and comfortable quarantine. We had the perfect amount of space for the two of us- nice bedroom and lounge area, nice kitchen, and nice bathrooms, the extra toilet was a bonus! Working with and talking with Laura and Dave was such a wonderful addition to the comfort and success of our trip. They are great! I would recommend this property to anybody who is looking for a relaxing stay, a private garden away from the big city, or an easy staying place to explore the area! We will definitely be back!

Virginia water experience
The apartment is immaculate and has everything one could possibly need. It is set in a beautifully maintained garden and is in easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants, including the famous Wentworth patisserie. However, what makes the stay here special is the kindness and hospitality of the hosts, Laura and David Gray, who went out of their way to help us to enjoy our stay to the full. Lovely place, lovely people.

Perfect!!!!
I have stayed in many places and written lots of reviews but have never used the word PERFECT until now. The flat or garden cottage is better than advertised. Every detail has been taken care of. The kitchen is fully equipped (I mean fully!). The bed is excellent. The bathroom perfect. It has a nice little garden area outside which is part of the lovely garden of the main house. It was spotlessly clean and in really excellent condition. It is private with its own entrance and you can come and go without bothering Laura and David or even being noticed. It's location for me (I was there for two weeks in self-isolation after arriving in the UK) was fantastic. There is a supermarket with all the food you could possibly want just about 200 meters from the flat, so you can walk down a very quiet road for a couple of minutes and shop for necessities very easily and quickly. Also there are restaurants that do pick-up and delivery in the same little shopping area. Also a pharmacy. The surroundings are beautiful, quiet and tranquil. Laura and David were wonderful. Helpful, friendly and very respectful of your privacy. I honestly found nothing to complain about in my whole two week stay. Thank you Laura and David! I would heartily recommend this to anyone. David

Perfect isolation
Coming over to UK from Australia, I had to isolate for 14 days. I couldn't have wished for a nicer place and such good value. Spacious and clean , lovely helpful hosts, beautiful garden to sit in and enjoy. I couldn't recommend David and Laura's accomodation enough.

The owner makes a clear effort to provide a stay that is as advertised. She always responded right away to any questions I had., and were welcoming. The property has beautiful gardens making the stay very relaxing. Groceries and pharmacy are one block away.

Good location for Heathrow and Windsor
We really enjoyed the small town feel in a nice neighborhood very close to train station. Laura was an excellent host and answered multiple emails before and after booking to help with my planning for seeing London (45 minute train ride) Windsor (30 min train ride) transfer from Heathrow (20 minute Uber) and transfer to Southampton for cruise via train (2 hours.) The flat was efficient and comfortable and situated to enjoy their garden and bird feeders. Only recommendation would be to bring flashlight if walking to local pubs for dinner as street lighting is not that good in this upscale otherwise safe neighborhood.

My daughter and I stayed at this delightful cottage and were so very pleased. It is everything as stated and more. The location is perfect and the shops within easy access. We had a very nice time. The apartment is an annexe to the house and is comfortable and clean. It has all the necessities including kitchen equipment , a washing machine and hairdryer. It is a terrific location for visiting Windsor , Hampton court and of course trains to London. It is also very convenient to Heathrow airport.

We stayed here for 4 nights for the BMW Championship at Wentworth. The property was perfect. An easy 20 minute walk to the golf course & some great restaurants very nearby to relax in the evening (although the fully equipped kitchen was more than adequate to cook, if we had wanted to). A real ‘home from home’ & will definitely book for next year, if we go again. Many thanks Laura & David.

There was a spacious, modern kitchen, a large bedroom with a small couch in front of the small TV and a modern bathroom. It was close to Runnymeade, Windsor and Heathrow. As you wil expect, traffic is heavy in the area.

This has been by far the best experience I've ever had with a vacation rental. The cottage was immaculate. The grounds are beautiful. The kitchen has a gas stove and all the bells and whistles one would need to create a meal of any size, including seasonings and condiments in the cabinet. I always rate a kitchen high if there is a garlic press. Parking was perfect right on the premises. The cottage has endless information on things to do in London. The absolute best part of my stay was the host and her family. Laura, Helen and David are who you want to have just steps away and accessible any time when you are a Woman traveling alone to a place that she has never been. Wonderful Human Beings. I am very sad to leave them and the cottage. I do know that these people will be in my life for a long time.

I attended the royal wedding for a celebration of my 40th birthday. This was the perfect start to a once-in-a-lifetime event! David, Laura and their daughter were more than generous, the home was incredible, it was bright, warm, very spacious, safe, extremely peaceful and incredibly clean. As a family, they went above and beyond to make my stay and experience incredible. The home is located in a gorgeous town, only 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport, 12 minutes from Windsor and a short 3-5 minute walk to quaint shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Virginia Water is so picturesque and reminds me of Beverly Hills. The annex or guest house where you will be staying is very private, living space boasts a large, bedroom with ensuite, including a wonderful bathtub and shower combination, there is an additional 1/2 bath in the hall which is perfect if there are two or more of you staying. There is an adorable outdoor seating area, garden, great size kitchen and is well-priced. I highly recommend booking your accommodation at the Luxury Garden today! I would love to return and just spend a week here, it is worth it.

Nice place for a couple. You do not need a car as the train station is only 15 minutes walk from the house. Several nice shops and restaurants on the way. Gray's were a really nice couple who are the property owners had several nice talks with them. They were very helpful to a former colonist visiting the old country.

Home...away from home.
Vacation planning and coordinating can be stressful. The Chalk House and all it's amenities of furnishings, cleanliness, central and easy location, security, access to transportation, and the "Virginia Water Village" makes it feel like a vacation away from your vacation. We felt fortunate it was available for our 6 day stay. Could not have asked for anything more or better! Terrific hosts that were most welcoming. helpful, and accommodating. It was a memorable stay!
