"We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. "Lovely hotel. Amazing staff. Only downfall was the church bells that ring on the hour. Including overnight. Would stay again even with the chimes due to the amazing staff and homely feel of the hotel."

"Loved the friendly staff and the hotel setting is stunning. . The breakfast was nice and tasty. The hotel room was comfortable with a fabulous view of loch fine from the window. We were in the area for a wedding and it proved difficult trying to secure transport back to the hotel from Tarbert the nearest town due to there being only one taxi car. As the hotel is 4 star, a shuttle bus for guests maybe an idea moving forward."

"Nice, pet-friendly hotel. Jessie was very friendly and helpful and so the other staff. Big rooms and spacious bathroom with big shower. The mattress could be changed and need some 2-in-1 coffee sachets or some milk tubs, but besides everything was good. We had dinner and breakfast and it was all tasty. Hotel is a listed building so there's only so much they can do about it, but it was good for its price."

"Eccellent staff always helpful, room was always kept clean, we had to request more heat for the room and that was attended too. the buffet breakfast had a good choice of food although for the eater that did not take much it could be an expensive breakfast. Dinner in the Cruise restaurant was vey good but menu was the same every night. Waiting staff were always very helpful. On arrival the television was faulty but this was rectified the same day. Although the weather varied we did enjoy our stay."
