Loch Lomond and Cowal Way - West

The hotel was ok but I was put in a room with disabled amenities.If I had been disabled I would have found it impossible to use the bathroom as the door was stuck and took all my strength to open it.I reported it to reception but they didn’t seem interested and nothing was done. My breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced in a hotel, it was supposed to be a buffet but on arrival only one of the two coffee machines were working and the one that did only served Americano but no milk was available. There were no croissants of any description and no bread to go with the continental breakfast which consisted of cheese but no cooked meat or ham. The English breakfast was no better with barely cooked sausage, over cooked bacon, tasteless scrambled egg and mushed up black pudding and haggis all of which were inedible so I ended up with toast which was okay. I did complain to a member of staff and ask for milk and pastries who then disappeared for more than five minutes but after this time I gave up and left. Again I complained at reception to no avail,the receptionist told me she could not refund the cost of our breakfast as no manager was available so I should email which I have done but have received no reply,hence the review as there is no other way is getting through to anyone of authority.

Wonderful view and position. Helpful staff and good food. Peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. Walking shoes and a good book!
