House was amazing very spacious, facilities were great lots of games, hot tubs and bbq were great,
Great house plenty of parking spaces, shout walk into town, very spacious, big bedrooms, great house for a family break, two great hot tubs, lovely big front room, bar and games area are fantastic, great location , 30 minutes from loads of great locations and beaches, house needs a paint on the outside as a little dated, but would highly recommend.
Just got back from a great weekend in Swaffham .The house was the perfect location for 16 of us. The house has everything you could possibly need.
I would definitely recommend it.
We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Lydney House. It exceeded all of our expectations and the pictures really do not do it justice. Such a lovely building with amazing features and space- there were 14 of us staying but we never once felt on top of each other. There was not one thing about our stay that were less than impressed by. We would definitely return again. Thank you so much.

Good location, could have been better. Renovation still needs finishing. Externally lots of work needed. Internally, generally to a good standard.
Everyone enjoyed our stay. The property had nearly everything we wanted. The only issues were some of the bedrooms didn't have a wardrobe and the power went off whilst cooking a roast dinner. A fuse had popped but took some time to find which box it was in. Comms with the owners were good. Definitely worth the money and Swaffham is worth a visit.
The property is large and well equipped, we catered for 20 easily with the 2 ranges and 3 fridge freezers, the only thing we couldn’t find in the kitchen was a ladle.
The bar, dining room and lounge were all comfortable and well laid out. The bedrooms are lovely and en suites good. The only note I have is that the doors do slam if not closed carefully, I would have appreciated slow closers on them as you can hear it through the house.
The town is a short walk through a meadow and church yard and has plenty of shops, cafes and a lovely market on Saturdays.
Overall an incredible property that I would definitely recommend to any large group.going away together.
Spent four great nights here to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday, and what a party we had. It was an all adult affair but ages ranging from 23 to 74 and everyone, without exception, said what a great place it is for a crowd like this.
The bar is what makes the difference between this and a regular big house. It creates its own atmosphere. The party cellar was great for the big party night (music system was a bit weak so a good quality Bluetooth speaker was helpful). Within easy walking distance of the village centre with some decent walks from the front door.
A grand property with lots of space, rooms & parking
Fully equipped with everything you need and more
We had a range of ages from 0-80 and there was lots to do for everyone: hot tubs, snooker, air hockey, tv, and a perfect venue for a game of children’s hide & seek!
Couldn’t fault it we had the best weekend, brought in private caterers for an 3 course meal and partied in the cellar bar.. all in all made memories as a family that we will treasure
Spent a weekend here with family, there were 17 people ranging from 5 months to 68. Every need was catered for. Good range of equipment in the kitchen, bar area was great as it had the pool/table tennis table in it so it was a very sociable area. We didn’t use the cellar but it would be great if you wanted music down there. Bedrooms were all en-suite and decorated nicely. Had a couple if issues which were rectified straight away by the owner. Would definitely recommend staying here.
We loved our stay! The facilities were excellent. We were a large group comprising of a variety of ages, and every one of us had a fantastic time. The rooms were very comfortable, fresh and clean on arrival. The fact that every room had an en-suite was a massive plus for us. The communal areas were very well equipped and our party made full use of the games tables and activities provided. The basement was a unique point to the house, but we never actually spent time in there as there was so much to do in the main part of the house.
Our one negative was that there could have done with being more cleaning products provided for our stay ie bleach, surface cleaning products, hoover/better brush for the floors.
We would definitely recommend and would stay again. We loved it!
Glorious property, one of the best equipped we have stayed in. Living space met our needs perfectly and so unusual ,but very welcomed, to have all rooms en-suite. Quiet location on edge of town which provided a great base for easy travel to both coast and inland attractions.
We had a fabulous stay. The house is beautiful and everything you could ask for. I loved that everyone had an en-suite. There was lots of space for everyone. It was like having a hotel all to yourself. It was only a short walk into Swaffham to get anything we needed and have tea and cake in the lovely cafes. We had so much fun and would book again.
This property was the jackpot it had everything we wanted and we turned the cellar into our private nightclub.
We had an issue with the fire alarm box which I messaged the property managers and I received a phone call within 30 mins - communication was so good and much appreciated.
My only negative feedback was kitchen utensils and cutlery etc weren’t very clean. Other than that, the place had everything you could want and all the bedrooms were spacious and so rare that they each had an en-suite!
Would highly recommend!
