"Our recent stay was unfortunately marred by logistical issues and poor maintenance. What should have been a straightforward arrival turned into a nightmare; the main access road was closed, and GPS (Google Maps) repeatedly led us in circles for over an hour. While we appreciated the receptionist eventually meeting us nearby to guide us in, the start of the trip was incredibly stressful. ​The Room & Facilities ​The disappointments continued once we checked in: ​Maintenance Failure: We informed Reception that our bedroom window was faulty and would not close. Despite being promised it would be fixed while we were out, we returned at night to find it still wide open. We froze throughout the night and were forced to use towels to plug the large gap to keep the draft out. ​Bed Size: We were surprised to find a standard double bed. In most modern hotels—and certainly within the IHG portfolio—a King or Queen is the standard. ​Amenities: To top it off, there was no ice available in the hotel. ​The Silver Lining ​The only redeeming quality of the stay was the breakfast. It was very good with a nice variety of options, and the staff in the dining area were pleasant. ​Final Verdict ​Overall, this was a major letdown compared to our previous IHG experiences. Between the lack of follow-through on a basic maintenance request and the sub-par room features, we will not be booking this hotel again."

"Reception Check-in and porter to room very effecient. No O2 mobile phone signal in room. Room size compact. Described as "Superior King", but on entry definitely small and UK "King", ie:- 5ft. wide, not what I was expecting, ie:- 6ft wide. Bathroom not properly cleaned with dirt around bottom of shower screen and black mould on back of door and bottom of door frame rotten and black mould. Bench seating in restraunt had worn out PVC covered cusghions with some of the PVC covering missing. Food for Dinner and Breakfast satisfactory with poor service."

"Plenty of parking. Have a bar. I forgot my small USB lamp when I left. Called the hotel the next day but they did not find anything, so assumed the cleaner may have taken it."

"Everything was exceptional. The staff was incredibly helpful. The rooms were gorgeous. The food was great. But I cannot say anything better about that staff. They were absolutely lovely."

"The staff were fantastic, polite, friendly and helpful, which the made it a brilliant stay. Dinner was good and very family friendly with food options for the kids. Breakfast was the only let-down, scrambled eggs were cold and tasted awful, not much choice of fruit. "

"Property was nice and room ok. Shower was a powerful but temperature kept varying. Bar food and drinks were nice but disappointing that on Expedia (who we booked through) it said pets stay free but on arrival charges were applied for the dog which is why I’ve given a lower rating. Did mention to the member of staff who checked us in but nothing was done about this and Expedia still shows as pets stay free "
