A small family run hotel with nice people who were very helpful. The mattress on the bed was very poor being so soft it was difficult to turn over or get out of bed.
This hotel is absolutely perfect. The owner was the nicest guy you could ever meet. Couldnt do enough for you and was genuinely friendly and interested in talking to us. The hotel itself was immaculate and well presented. The breakfast was outstanding. The room itself was comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable and good pillows.... not many hotels offer that. We stayed here to go to alton towers so was perfect location. We without a doubt will be staying here again and would recommend to anyone. Thank you for making our stay ao comfortable
Henry and Sara are wonderful hosts. Place is nice and the area is very quaint. Cant help it with a name like Stoke on Trent! I recommend!

Clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast
The accommodation is a little dated but none the less a fantastic accommodation. Friendly and helpful owners. Comfortable rooms and amazing breakfast, freshly cooked with excellent choices.
I booked late, arrived even later and left early so I didn't get much chance to have a look around. However what I did see was good and I enjoyed the breakfast.
The Holly Trees was a very friendly place to stay. We wish we could have stayed longer and had more time to enjoy the lovely breakfast. Our dog Poppy was made very welcome and the dog walking garden was well protected from the road. We will certainly stay there again.
Really very friendly..we were late for breakfast and gd still made it

Great service, friendly people
More of a guest house than a hotel in my opinion. People we met who run it were very friendly and the service very good. Very traditional decor and maybe in need of modernisation but that’s not to everyone’s taste. Good value for money, good service and suited our needs
Nice and quiet hotel...owner operator couple friendly enough.
Could do with modernisation but very clean and comfortable.
Great breakfast served!
Good pub and car very 5 mins away.
Not a bad place to stay, we used it as a stepping stone to get into Chester. Excellent full English breakfast.
Unfortunately a cracked mirror in the bathroom, no loo brush, the curtains looked a bit tired and the double glazing was in need of attention, moisture had got between the panes. Didn't like all the cobwebs behind the bed, apart from that all ok.
Great stay, would stay again. We were there for only one night and had to leave early, before breakfast, so I dont know how that would be but everything else was great.
Very friendly and helpful host's fantastic food well worth a stay. Great location to venture from

Pleasant enough hotel that met our needs well
Hotel was comfortable and pleasant if a little dated. Lovely breakfast. Fitted our needs perfectly as it had a triple room. Out of town location requires a car.
The hotel was more like a B & B.Good point close to the M6 motorway.Minus points well outside the town of Alsager although this was somewhat compensated by a bus route from Crewe to Hanley Stoke on Trent. On the bus you can purchase a Potteries all day ticket.
Hotel useful for a stop off point for an overnight, event etc
It is really a nice hotel, but we stayed 5 nights and used it to explore lots of places around the area and surrounding towns and villages. Unfortunately we were placed in a rather small room and it was very crowded for two people. Many times we walked past other rooms when their doors were open before or after cleaning and noticed how big they were. That did disappoint us and these rooms were used for one or two night stays. I am sure we could have been allocated one of these as we were staying longer.
The breakfasts were cooked well and reasonably quickly and any combination you wanted , the hosts catered for this.
