The Woolly Sheep Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely overnight stay at the Woolly Sheep, and were only sorry we weren't staying longer. Staff were friendly, our rooms in the annex were impressive - with nice touches including complimentary fresh milk and a bottle of Timothy Taylor's beer in the fridge - and the cooked breakfast was excellent. Being in the centre of town and located in a pub offering a range of beers and evening meals is also a big plus. We'll definitely be back."

"Clean room, friendly and efficient staff. Dining room has been refurbished. Breakfast was mundane, nothing interesting and only sliced bread. I preferred when your breakfast was brought to your table, rather than self service. A good nights sleep in a comfort bed in a quiet room. The canal side view side is the best for peace!"

"Had a super lovely stay here, the lady in the bar was super friendly (Lauren) I think. We will definitely stay again. Lovey room and we had the bonus of a lovely view too. Food was great and the bed was super comfy"

"This busy hotel was a little out of town, very close to the railway station, and across a busy road from Morrisons. Although check in was a bit slow, the room and facilities were good, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast served by Valentino, was excellent. Access into town is much better if you manage to locate the canal at the back of the property. The hotel has a public bar with a good selection of drinks. All in all a good stay."

"Great hotel/Inn. Four poster bed very comfortable, room very spacious and nice bathroom. No complaints and would definitely stay here if in the area."
The Wensleydale Hotel

"Nice room, albeit quite small, overlooking the main square. The breakfast was very good and all the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Parking is on the square outside the property, come early on a Saturday as the square gets very busy."
