"Very clean and comfortable room. My only negative is that with it being at the top of the building ( 3 floors) it was very warm. There is a fan in the room but we needed to switch it off to sleep. Breakfast was well cooked and delicious. Staff were lovely."

"The best thing about the Mercure was the staff! Every single member was polite, courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel has two wings and one side seems newly refurbished and the other seems rather tired and a bit jaded, but the standards were equally high in both. The food was very good, although the evening meal menu was limited choice the presentation and quality was good. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice in juices, cereals, hot cooked food, toast and croissants."

"The location was good. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was dated and could do with being freshened up. The hotel itself had no atmosphere it always empty in the bar area so it didn't tempt us into wanting to stay for food or drinks. The reception staff were helpful. Overall we had a great weekend break. Harrogate is a lovely place."

"Lovely big room, hotel well situated in a quiet area of Harrogate with nearby Valley Gardens including walk through there and woodland to RHS Harlow Carr. Friendly staff, good/ average breakfast. Would have marked higher generally however on one night of my 2 night stay in a 2nd floor room there was an event downstairs with a horrendously loud thudding disco and shouting DJ which did not finish until 12.30am, resulting in a banging headache and being unable to get a good night's sleep."
Hollins Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf

"Hollins Hall is a beautiful property and we have stayed there a few times in the past. The grounds are well maintained and the hotel offers a bar and restaurant. Our room was clean, but basic and with the usual tea and coffee options. There was no bottled water provided, which would have been appreciated, and no refrigerator. I thought the bathroom amenities were somewhat lacking compared to other hotels, but we managed with what was there. We checked out early in the morning, so I can't comment on breakfast. We did not used any of the on site facilities because we were in the area for a funeral. Hollins Hall is special in it's secluded location, and I would recommend choosing a room that has all the options you require for your stay."

"The woodland cabin accommodation was lovely comprising of lounge, bedroom and Bathroom. A, queen bed with no option of a twin and a small but adequate fridge. Highly recommended to book spa treatments online before your stay, we were lucky as there had been some cancellations. Residents only have access 7-9am and 8-9pm! otherwise its £15 pp additional charge. Breakfast plentiful but advise arriving early as items were running out fast and lack of staff caused delays. There is a restaurant/bar, food average nothing exceptional and quite pricy."
