We only stayed for a night in hotel victoria as we were passing through newquay, but found the hotel and its contents quite charming...nice friendly staff, large period rooms and good facilities made our stay very enjoyable.Although very dated the hotel fits in well with stunning coastal sea cliffs and beach scenery ,you have to stand back and appreciate that in its day it was probably a sincere holiday place for aristocrats and royals to stay during summer..a strong victorian style presence takes you back to days gone by...a nice building, with pleasant and friendly staff "we would like to say thank you to all at hotel victoria for making us welcome." .....Regards...Martin
Lovely hotel in a perfect location. Overall the experience was very good but there are some elements that could be improved/refreshed such as new TVs, in room refreshments (no tea and coffee making facilities). Staff were quite slow in the restaurant at breakfast (with coffees, etc.)
Spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel. We had a very friendly warm welcome when we arrived and given a tour of the hotel to ensure we were familiar with the layout etc. All the staff were courteous and friendly with excellent service and a tasty and variety offered and provided for breakfast. The room was tastefully decorated and clean with personal touches provided.
Excellent stay, food good quality and locally sourced when available. Clean throughout inspite of the renovations being carried out. Comfortable bed, light, airy room. Close to beach and a 15 minute walk to the town. Didn’t use spa so can’t comment. Would certainly return and recommend to others.
We were made to feel very welcome at The Falmouth Townhouse. Our room was big and nicely furnished and led to a bright and clean bathroom. An evening in Falmouth was completed with a few drinks and conversation at the hotel bar, then a fantastic breakfast sent us on the way the following morning. .
Hotel is in a central location mid Cornwall near to Truro, the hotel is a small pub, not nosie, hotel room and bathroom could with an update but for the money no problems, FREE breakfast really nice don’t listen to the other reviews, the owner is a brilliant host with an amazing memory he had our drinks ready for breakfast before we had even got down stairs. Over all great stay.
