We opted for extra blankets, as we liked the room, manager arrived, gave us an extra, what looked like an old duvet cover, which was clean though, although not a blanket. I gave this to my husband who is 83 as he feels the cold "

"Great 2 night stay. The room had everything you could need and nice comfy beds. Staff were superb, really go over and above to ensure you have everything you need, 24 hours a day. An Email we sent ahead of our visit was replied within the hour, great communication. Amenities also better than expected, a bar and snacks available. Highly recommend."

"A really nice house in a private estate. Not overly comfortably furnished but with 2 sofas quite adequate. The living area is upstairs and bare boards so does echo a bit. The view from the balcony upstairs is really nice. The location is really quiet. Within walking distance to the sailing club if competing there."

"Myself and two friends stayed here for a little reunion long weekender and we had the most fabulous time. Michelle and Mark made sure that our stay was just perfect and thought of all the little details like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, tea towels, dishwasher tablets and a lovely bottle of PROSECCO!!!!! Michelle was there to greet and brief us on what was where etc. The accommodation was immaculate and beautifully clean. The beds were extremely comfy and the property is the perfect getaway. In a great location with easy access to the seafront and local shops and eateries, although we were 3 mature ladies, the property is perfect for families and couple too. We would all highly recommend The Island Retreat. Thank you Michelle and Mark for adding the extra finishing touches and going that extra mile making for a hassle free and most wonderful weekend."
