Pocket Guide: Tokyo Shibuya Hotels

Shibuya is a walkable, family-friendly neighborhood with convenient options for restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. You can experience some local theater, or enjoy the natural beauty of the parks. A stay at one of Shibuya's hotels or holiday apartments makes it easy to venture out into the greater Tokyo area.

Sightseeing around Shibuya

The museums and theaters add a sense of refinement, while the monuments and other landmarks offer local lore. You can attend a show at TOKYU THEATRE Orb, Bunkamura, and NHK Hall. Sights like Cosmo Planetarium Shibuya, Shibuya Folk and Literary Shirane Memorial Museum, and Yamatane Museum of Art offer insight into the local culture. Bring the family to Shibuya Fureai Botanical Center, National Children's Castle, and National Children’s Castle.

Many visitors like to do some shopping while in town, but there are a number of other activities. Saigoyama Park, Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park, or Roppongi Sakurazaka are ideal spots to enjoy the outdoors. At Meiji-jingu Garden, Mitadai Park, and Shiba Park, take some time to really appreciate nature. Plan to do some shopping while in town? Consider Shibuya 109 Building, Parco, and Spiral. Oak Omotesando, Louis Vuitton Building, and Omotesando Hills are other spots for some local fun.

A few of the area's most popular attractions are Meiji Jingu Shrine, Tokyo Tower, and Sensoji Temple. Shibuya Hikarie, Sound Museum Vision, and Sato Sakura Museum are other must-sees.
