"The Highfield Guest House is just a little bit further from the centre of Edinburgh but you can easily get there in 20 minutes by bus. The premises are immaculate and I was given a very friendly welcome by Maggie. Breakfast is not provided but that is not a difficulty as a branch of Margiotta's supermarket is just opposite where good croissants and coffee are available. The ensuite facilities were very well kept."

"Located on the second floor of the restaurant, the room was spacious, but furniture and carpet show signs of ware. Bed was a double with adequate level bedding. The sink and shower were slow to drain, but water pressure was great. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. The value for what I got was decent because it included breakfast in the morning. "

"This was the second bed and breakfast my family stayed at in Scotland. Our first was a self catering, which means all food is your responsibility, so we were hoping for a better experience. I have to say that the Brae House was amazing. It’s a converted home to a B&B, but there was enough room for my family of four. The owner was super friendly and helpful. The check in was seamless and when we had any issues, my wife accidentally tripped a breaker, he fixed it without any frustration. The rooms...
