"We stayed at the Wheatsheaf to be within 10 mins drive of the RSPB Leighton Moss reserve. The room was quirky, bare floorboards and steps up to the bed because it's quite high off the floor! The food was excellent and not expensive and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.. Very happy to recommend this place and we'll definitely be staying again. "

"Lovely hotel room, nicely decorated and the bed was luxurious and comfy. Bathroom was okay, but prefer walk in showers. It was very warm at night and unable to open the windows, although a fan was provided. Staff are excellent both at the bar, check in and breakfast. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and served with a smile. "
