Both the building were up a significant high hill with access up and down on the driveway or switch back through the front hillside. At the roadside it was a small landing on the curve of the busy main highway through Ambleside. The breakfast had a very nice buffet and nice eating area. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved being able to walk uptown and even catch a trail behind the lake house. Breakfast looking out on the lake was great.
